Mr.Squirrel from DC
Mr. Squirrel from Washington DC is one animal friend that I will never forget. He had perseverance, resourcefulness and showed character. His abode was in the lawns and trees of the National Mall. He ran across to meet us with delightful welcome squeals especially after noticing our lunch baskets. But he did not barge on us or trouble as a bit. He stood his ground about 3 meters away from us with all humbleness and respect – waiting at the master’s table. With folded hands in humble subjugation, a look in his eyes that showed eagerness and evoked pity, nobody could resist sharing a bit of their meals with Mr. Squirrel and boy, does he look healthy!
